The Leisure Show Dubai, whose next edition is scheduled from 17th to 19th September 2019, is increasingly confirmed as the reference event for outdoor furniture, sports and fitness, attractions and entertainment in the Middle East. The last edition, which ended recently, marked yet another success with over 30,000 visitors, including owners, directors and managers of hotels, resorts, theme parks and water parks, wellness and fitness centers, sports facilities, etc… from all over the Middle East Region, the Indian Subcontinent and Africa and the presence of more than 150 exhibiting companies.
According to the latest data from the new study by MENA Research Partners, which shows that the region's tourism and travel sector could reach $350 billion by 2027, these figures will only increase. This boom will have an impact on the GCC leisure and entertainment market as early as next year with Expo 2020 Dubai, undoubtedly the primary driver of growth for tourism and leisure in the U.A.E.

In addition, according to KPMG's 2019 Global Leisure Perspectives Report, the experience economy is booming, and with consumers choosing to travel more, the leisure industry is under increasing pressure to offer the very best experience for their customers, most of which exhibit very different travel tastes and preferences.

Sarkis Kahwajian, Event Director, dmg Hospitality Portfolio said:

“technology is leading the way in shaping the leisure industry globally as well as in the GCC. The Global Leisure Perspectives Report from KPMG affirms that consumers around the world are more digitally covered than ever before and opting to spend more on exciting and engaging experiences. The UAE and neighbouring GCC countries are gearing up for an influx of international visitors as well as an evolving consumer preference. True to its track record, the Leisure Show will be a significant event for professionals in the industry to share ideas, showcase innovative products, lead discussions, and network”.

The September edition promises to be the record edition right from the start, thanks also to the birth of Middle East Design & Hospitality Week, a single mega event that will bring together under one roof the 6 main platforms of the different sectors related to Interior & Hospitality that have been taking place in Dubai for many years: INDEX (dedicated to Interior & Design), WORKSPACE (Commercial Interior), SURFACE DESIGN (Surfaces & Coverings), THE HOTEL SHOW (Hospitality), THE LEISURE SHOW (Leisure, Sports, Resorts), FIM (Furniture production). The Middle East Design & Hospitality Week is therefore proposed as an unmissable unique Event of Interior, Design, Contract & Hospitality able to attract 1,200 exhibiting companies and over 40,000 professionals and operators from the entire Middle East Region.
