A three storey villa in Seattle with a playful area for its owners: Snow House project by Graham Baba studio’s architects was aimed at renovating a property without exceeding the budget. The outer façade suggests the playful theme of the property, with the combination of colors and materials such as grey steel, wood and a yellow cupola.
Despite the regular structure aimed at respecting the budget, the interior decoration turns the place upside down, with many colors, unexpected furnishing and smart solutions.
The living room’s ceiling presents sort of a gangway, and the space itself is divided into a dining room and a sofa area which are separated by an actual swing, standing out between lime green and yellow walls. The sofa features natural colors to match the wood furniture, whilst the rug is a contrasting element thanks to its silver hues and geometrical motifs.

The two-colored kitchen presents just a few wall units, to emphasize the worktops and the outside view. A spiral staircase connects the ground floor to the upper ones, creating a valuable interior in terms of architecture. Upstairs, the bedrooms feature pale yellow walls and high windows to guarantee more privacy. The playful side of Snow House takes over even in the garage, which features a room dedicated to hobbies and music, an out-and-out recreational space for each family member.
