Bold, unmistakable design items with a delicate feminine feel: the products by Layla Mehdi Pour take you on a playful journey that calls at our Spazio TID showroom. Born and graduated in Iran, she moved to Italy in 2008 to attend several post-graduate courses that made her develop a unique style. Layla's design products reinterpret everyday items in a playful way, bringing freshness and colour to our routine, and turning the expected into unexpected. The first project showcased at our showroom is the ceramic salt-and-pepper shaker FëlFël: its unusual ring configuration makes it sort of a toy that emotionally connects with users by turning an automatic gesture into a moment of cheerfulness.

The playful side also recurs in Dan oil&vinegar set, which achieves both a visual and a tactile recognition through the materialization of the first letter of the liquid inside each container. Unusual and intuitive, the set brings on the dining table an ironic concept and a pure essential form. The design items by Layla Mehdi Pour also address the wall, with two brilliant solutions: Pardis, modular triangle-shaped vases that create Persia-inspired patterns on the wall; and Sophie, the colourful wall clock with a rotating upper surface that allows creating new forms as well as different light and shadow effects. Poetic and playful, these design items address anyone, including visual impaired users, as some projects like FëlFël come with specific bumps that make them distinguishable through the sense of touch. To admire Layla Mehdi Pour's collection, showcased at the best European design events, pop up at our showroom located at via Monte Pordoi 8, in Milan's Baranzate district.
