A Japanese group exhibit hosted within “Zona Tartina meet Japan” project has brought to Milan an Asian touch and sensation. From a kimono-shaped seat to a lamp reminding of traditional Japanese umbrellas, the event hosted inside the Nimé Studio was made of 11 exhibitions and directed by Kotaro Nishibori.

Designers, artists, painters: more than 40 talents took part in the project, displaying various works such as the Scarab chair, whose shape reminds of paper-folding, and handmade jewels as well as ancient-looking lamps, glasses and bowls to be put on modern dining tables. Tokyo Crafts Design offered several pieces combining tradition and innovation with sort of a fairy touch, such as its see-through boule-rings inspired by Tokyo colors, as well as its employment of refined precious fabrics. Kotori lamp range by Hiyoshiya displayed suggestive objects made of Japanese umbrellas material whilst  Shinn Asano’s collection added a futuristic touch to the exhibit. A spectacular event enriched by Japanese food and scents, to take the mind to the eastern part of the world.
