St. Petersburg is ready to stage the sixth edition of its renowned Design Week, which will be on from May 25 to June 1 to make people experience design through each of the five senses.

This edition's theme will be Design[6]Sense, stressing how design is not just related to the sight but to any sense, specifically targeted by the miscellaneous happenings within the Design Week.

Touch, for instance, will be the main sense involved in the various workshops of the program, aimed at learning the creative and manufacturing processes behind a design item. Taste, on the other hand, will be the protagonist of the cooking classes hosted by very important chefs.

As always, St. Petersburg Design Week will firstly emphasize the importance of local design, to make the world learn about the unique style of Russia and create new ways to promote it. This purpose will turn the Design Week into an actual opportunity to develop new professional relationships, so that design professionals can place themselves in the best position amid the ever-changing design market.

The main focus of both professionals and design lovers will be certainly the fifth edition of Design Week Expo: the three-day exhibit will be on from May 25 to 27, to showcase the products and services by dozens of designers and producers. The Expo will also be the place where to create new professional connections, as well as learn about the unique design collections that hit the city each year.

Many popular guests and international institutions will participate in the St. Petersburg Design Week, including Karim Rashid, Massimo Roj, Duravit, MADE Expo and Italy's Istituto Marangoni.

A truly cosmopolitan event that will confirm the ever-growing importance of St. Petersburg on the international design stage.
