TID is pleased to announce the comeback of the educational path by POLI.design specifically dedicated to the wellness field, which today affects both people’s lifestyle as well as the interior design sector. POLI.design, Consorzio del Politenico di Milano, will be helding the second edition of its DESIGN FOR WELLNESS & SPA course, supported by AIPI Associazione Italiana Progettisti d’Interni, Architetti and in collaboration with QCTerme, the greatest Italian wellness group which features five of the most important spas of the country such as the ines in Milan and Bormio.
Moreover, at the end of the course the introduction of projects fulfilled by the students during the Project Work sessions as well as the commencement ceremony will be held at Bologna’s Forum Piscine fair during the Italian Pool Award 2015.

The 160 hour course, starting on January 26 through February 20, will be made of 80 seminar hours and 80 project work hours: based on their experience and needs, students can choose whether to attend both parts or just the first half of the path. Funded by partner companies, with just an enrolling fee up to 1000 Euros per person, DESIGN FOR WELLNESS & SPA represents the link between university, firms and professionals, by teaching students both interior design matters and miscellaneous crucial information for those working in the marketing, design and administrative sectors of a spa. The course also features tax breaks and reductions, and makes students eligible to collect ECTs for architects.

Among the new features of this year’s edition, a special night at Milan’s QCTerme for a free experience of the spa facilities; moreover, a short trip to Val di Fiemme to visit STARPOOL and FIEMME3000 and access STARPOOL’s spa.

Thanks to its multi-faceted approach that gathers hotel managers, businessmen, designers and companies around the theme of designing spas for gyms, hotels and wellness centers, the course addresses a heterogeneous public of architects, designers, PRs, communicators who share the spa environment. During the first edition, 20 students were engaged in seminars, tutorials, tours to companies, show rooms, hotels, innovative spaces, gyms and Milan’s venues. In this way, participants learnt any aspect of a spa project: analysis, concept, business plan; designing and making of the interior; decoration, new materials employment, color study; lights and audio technologies, market evolution and new trends. Thanks to its rich educational path, DESIGN FOR WELLNESS & SPA is the successful choice for those willing to understand the wellness business from the inside, witnessing its challenges and evolution.
