Nicolas Thomkins, born in 1953 in Ascona, Switzerland and based in Germany, is an internationally renowned designer with a deep knowledge of materials and a maniacal attention to detail. His design focuses on the 360° product and the sensory experience of the user by applying high standards of ergonomics and the pursuit of well-being.
Since 2014, he has been part of Higold's design team, carrying out several original projects that have led him to win countless awards in international design competitions, such as the Red Dot Design Award, one of the biggest and most important design awards worldwide, which every year rewards the exceptional quality of designers and manufacturers.

Among its Higold collections, the AIRPORT collection, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, certainly does not go unnoticed. It has been considered the reference point of the new design trend in Italy in the furniture industry.
The collection stands out for the corrugated aluminium foil inserted in the structure that recalls the idea of an old airplane. All made even more perfect, in terms of comfort and design, by the clean lines and the embroideries of the coating that follow the corrugated style.
The pride and joy of this collection is undoubtedly the trolley that is based on the robust and versatile function of the trolleys used by airlines. Epoxy aluminium structure, teak bridge, telescopic drawers to store bottles and stainless steel containers to keep your drinks cool. It is also equipped with swivel castors that guarantee mobility and integrated locking that ensures stable support.
A multifunctional trolley, perfect in the kitchen, in the garden or on the terrace; ideal for those who love to spend hot summer evenings in company while sipping a good glass of wine.
