Sometimes travelers want to escape from reality. For those willing to time-travel and for vintage-design-lovers Chic&Basic Hotel is the place to be. Located on chaotic Barcelona’s Ramblas, this hotel takes the visitors back to the Sixties thanks to its interior enriched by vintage suitcases, a Seat 600 car and authentic prints. The six-stories building hosts 97 rooms. Each floor is characterized by a particular theme and color always related to the Spanish Sixties: each room features authentic prints and pictures, thus the hotel itself looks like an art gallery where to understand more about the past society and habits.

Planned by La Grangja Design, the hotel makes the past live again thanks to its reception desk featuring vintage suitcases, Happy Days Arnold’s style tables, a Seat 600 car, a big peseta used as a table, the pool area and the hotel restaurant called El 600 de la Pepi. A world apart where people can escape from the chaotic life of Barcelona’s Ramblas.
