Art and astonishment hit Panama thanks to Tantalo Hotel, an unconventional luxury hotel featuring 12 different rooms designed to surprise their guests. Each room is decorated with local art pieces to create a dream-like atmosphere. Every soundproof wall is made of recycled newspaper sheets which keep both spongers and heat away, plus everything has been built in an eco-sustainable way.
Ricura Tropical room, by Samuel Rumanldo, features warm colors reminding of the tropical Caribbean atmosphere of Panama; TropiExotica room, by Yanneth Albornoz, is all about blue, yellow, magenta and red, featuring a Bengala tiger overlooking the space.

A Break in the Cloud, by Manuel Choy “SUMO”, features dark wood combined with light-blue graphic elements, white walls and PTY’s setting inspired by a popular local song. The hotel is aimed at embodying the local culture by offering its guests a journey from its room to Panama’s street, stopping by the hotel’s lounge to enjoy a drink on the roof, or by the hotel’s restaurant where chef Pierre de Janon mixes local ingredients to create innovative meals served on long friendly common tables.
Named after the myth of Tantalus, this hotel is the place to be for those looking for a relaxing place as well as a cultural landmark where to appreciate local art and modern design.
Tantalo Hotel, a dreamy reality.
