A renovation inspired by the past: that’s what happened in Slovenia where Mič Styling coiffeur brand has launched a new salon chain dedicated to young clients, with cutting-edge tools and Eighties-style interiors. The interior of each YMS  chain salon has been designed by Jaka Neon and David Kladnik - from Kitsch-Nitsch studio - whose background belongs to illustration and set design. The duo targeted young people’s taste by painting the whole salons with a retro Eighties color as well as intense patterns such as polka dots, stripes and pop-art inspired motifs. A salon turned into a design mecca eriched by black & white block check walls, lilac lines, blue bubbles, pop-art portraits, bubble-gums and even a hung flying white mannequin.

Even the sofa in the waiting room and the reception desk present geometrical shapes: this glamour interior design has been realized for the first time in a Ljubljana salon, enriched by seven different oddly-shaped mirrors to add a touch of craziness. Handmade vinyl wall graffiti along with a coffee table and multicolor scenic designs: that’s an example of the successful interior idea that has already been applied to two brand new salons. Maybe the YMS salons will even offer unusual intense haircuts!
