Mama Shelter, the hotel chain designed by Philippe Starck, hits another city with its colorful style. After taking over Marseille, the chain has now reached Istanbul where the architect projected another hotel of the brand, and is also going to do the same in Lyon and Bordeaux as well.

Conviviality and joy are the main themes of the Turkish branch of the chain: launched on March 15th 2013, the hotel features bright colors taking over all the common areas, such as the reception characterizeb by geometrical flooring, blackboard-like ceilings and graffiti walls.

The bar and the restaurant areas present pastel colors matched with a suffused lighting and many instruments employed as wall decoration. The common areas also feature all-white spaces, as well as b&w striped pillows, floral motifs and funny furniture.

Colors also takes over the roof that hosts a skybar, where Philippe Starck put two-colored striped walls, oversize vases and plants, to create a sociable place with a stunning view.

The bedrooms are all about white, further characterized by some ironic details such as graffiti rugs or Batman, Darth Fener and Bugs Bunny masks.

The hotel is located in the most luxurious area of the city, Beyoğlu: despite the beauty of the venue and the Michelin starred chef, Alain Sanderens, in charge of the restaurant, the hotel remains quite affordable, to guarantee a pleasant light-hearted vacation.
