The world’s top galleries are ready to present museum-quality exhibitions of twentieth and twenty-first century furniture, lighting and art objects. Each show balances exclusive commercial opportunities with progressive cultural programming, creating exciting collaborations with designers and design institutions, panels and conferences with luminaries from the world of design, architecture, art and fashion, and unique commissions from the world’s top emerging and established designers and architects.
A program that expands and enriches every year in order to not only satisfy the demand for a high-end design fair, but also to increase the awareness of modern and contemporary design, fuel the market for collectible design, and provide an exciting yet accessible destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

This year the fair will present 34 galleries – including four galleries that will make their debut - representing 14 countries and 11 Design Curio (exhibition platform which invites designers, curators, innovators and gallerists to present cabinets of curiosity throughout the fair. Each Curio reveals a total environment of objects, textures, artifacts and ideas that challenge and contextualize design narratives) with a robust offering of Satellites, Collaborations, Design Talks and exclusive events, all located steps away from Art Basel Miami Beach, the premier art show in the Americas.
More than ever in this edition, there will be a strong presence of historic and contemporary American designers, including work by George Nakashima, a woodworker, architect, and furniture maker who is considered a father of the American studio craft movement at Moderne Gallery in Philadelphia. The fair will also include, for the first time, outstanding examples of Shaker furniture, a movement whose focus is on form and proportions, asymmetry and multipurpose elements that add visual interest without being classified as pure decoration. Climate change and its increasingly precarious geopolitical climates will also be highlighted through a series of design projects that look to the future with an eye toward a better world.
With such a multi-faceted rich program that concerns each side of design, Design Miami is ready to prove itself as the most exciting festival of the East Coast.
