Design hits Mexico in September

On last year, the global design-week stage welcomed a new player, straight from Central America: that is Santiago de Querétaro, the Mexican city, founded in 1531, that launched its very first – and much successful – design week in 2015, becoming the leading festival of the region. The story is going to repeat itself right in September: the 2016 edition of Querétaro Design Week will be in fact on from 7 to 11 September, representing once again both a business and a multi-cultural platform that will be involving not just design but also technology, art, culture and brand new ideas.

In this way, the city of Querétaro aims at becoming the Creative City of design for UNESCO, therefore it will be involving the business and creative local leaders that will be participating, first of all, in the second encounter of Business for Innovation, proving the cutting edge side of the Mexican design week. Following the participation of France last year, the 2016 edition of Querétaro Design Week will have another international guest, Russia, to expand the popularity of both Mexican and European unique style and design. As any major design week, the festival will be also involving youngsters and students, thanks to the collaboration with many national universities. With dozens of on-topic happenings scattered all over the city, the upcoming edition of Querétaro Design Week is ready to confirm its undeniable allure within the global design field.
