Faliro Loft in Athens has been designed by Esé studio in collaboration with interior designer Patricia Urquiola. It’s a former industrial warehouse turned into an housing cluster where the owners live and work. This glass and steel box is not a cold living space but a cozy homey place to live in, thanks to the mix between modern tradition and Japanese style. A minimalistic design combined with mini-gardens scattered along the interior and the terraces, allowing the owners to grow aromatics indoor by exploiting both horizontal and vertical room.

Total-black mosaics in the kitchen, coated glasses, monochromatic textures and geometrical motifs on the floor, armchairs and dividing walls all mixed with traditional Japanese elements such as Shoji sliding panels and a small pool. This combination creates an housing yet working atmosphere, in a glass and steel box that hosts both the office and the home.
A conscious renovation that highlights the combination between concrete and plaster ceilings, as well as the floor tiles (available in three different hues) which are missing just in the living room, characterized by an oak wood flooring. An out-and-out home where an industrial space has been turned effortlessly into a homey shelter.
