We were inspired by Chilies and wanted to capture the powerful color, unique iconic shape and of course there heat. Our table was born from two areas of thinking. One to create a sexy, stylish, modern coffee table, but also have the simple functionality of a regular coffee table using simple and functional materials. The shape was our key area, through designing models from different materials and shapes. We wanted to create a form that hasn't been used before for a table. That's why we had the idea to construct a form where two identical chilies fit in the outlining of a rectangle.
