Zemer Peled, from Israel, grew up in a kibbutz located in the northern area of the country, where people live in very close contact with nature and no one is considered more important than others. This background is one of the strongest points of Peled's design creations, which have been displayed in many important galleries such as London's Sotheby and Saatchi, Tel Aviv's Eretz Israel Museum and Paris' Orangerie du Sénat.

Her work is the result of the mix between the designer's experience and the idea of a domestic space. Peled's sculptures are made out of ceramic sheets and malleable materials such as clay, to create static yet lively antropomorphic forms. Her latest sculpture range, called Blue and White, features two-coloured pieces all made out of white and cobalt blue ceramic fragments that have been put together based on Japanes Igezara pottery motif after being broken. Peled's art is tightly connected to her point of view and perception of the world, through which she transforms reality fragments into somethng new, belonging both to art and design fields.
