Inspired by the lightness of the wing, the archetype par excellence that combines lightness and strength, the designers of the Pininfarina Extra team were inspired by the concept of lightness, both physical and perceived, when designing this new outdoor furniture collection. The dynamic, pure and elegant lines give the entire collection a style that fits both in purely urban settings and in environments where nature takes center stage.
Each element of the collection features a lightweight aluminum structure, enriched on the decorative plane with geometric motifs, which visually refer to the most famous contemporary architectures around the World; the outer body is complemented by discreet and elegant teak strips, in its natural tone declination, for a classic and timeless mood.
Super-thick cushions with high-density foams for an extra soft seating experience: sitting down becomes an experience, which is precisely why all details were selected at their most precise angle.

Pininfarina Extra, is part of the famous design house Pininfarina, whose history dates back to 1930, when the company was founded by Battista Pininfarina, who became the most acclaimed car designer of his time. For example, Pininfarina's Cisitalia 202 (1947), was the first and only car to enter a permanent exhibition at MoMA in New York in 1961. To date, more than 100 Ferrari cars that have entered production have been designed by Pininfarina.
In 1986, the third generation of the Pininfarina family created Pininfarina Extra srl to extend the company's design capabilities outside the automotive industry. Over the past 30 years, Pininfarina Extra has developed more than 600 projects under the direction of its president and CEO, Paolo Pininfarina (now chairman of the Pininfarina Group), and established its own direction and clear identity.
