An innovative trend in the bathroom decoration field by industrial designer Julia Kononenko. Born and raised in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Julia gained popularity with her smart projects such as Electric Water, a washbasin for public places, recently followed by a similar project for private spaces called Water Map.

This washbasin is made out of unconventional materials, with a stratified wood slab crossed by a canal scheme which conveys the water. A new concept of washbasin which neither looks or works like a classic piece. The shape is different from the standard basin, yet it is flat, with water flowing through the canals inserted within a topographic map of the city of London, the landmark of the industrial revolution. A project that confirms Kononenko’s attitude of revolutionizing an object from the inside and not just on the outside.
