With almost 5,000 projects in the pipeline, Saudi Arabia is fast becoming one of the world’s busiest markets for construction, thanks to urban development and an ever-growing transport network.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom is thus taking significant measures to improve and implement its infrastructures, promoting the whole region as one of the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure tourism.
This development was accompanied by an ever increasing demand for natural stone, which led, starting from last year, to the launch of a new platform - Stone & Surface Saudi Arabia - with the aim of connecting construction professionals with suppliers of natural stone and other materials for surface design, including from some of the world's biggest international quarries.
The stone is in fact at the center of the numerous urban construction projects underway throughout Saudi Arabia, including residential and commercial buildings, economic zones, hospitals and hotels.

Stone & Surface Saudi Arabia has quickly become a key step for all international suppliers to showcase the latest stone and surface design solutions and technologies available on the market to thousands of construction professionals in the Kingdom.
After a very successful first edition, Stone & Surface Saudi Arabia is returning with a series of forums and conferences in which some of the most experienced exponents of the sector will participate, ready to present the latest developments and the latest trends in the field of construction together with a showcase of products even more extensive and complete.
Trending this year are undoubtedly the natural stones including marble, granite, travertine, slate and limestone, likely to feature heavily across the Kingdom’s mega construction projects.
Turkey, one of the world’s largest natural stone reserves, will be the biggest presence at the event this year.
In addition, exhibitors will showcase a wider range of surface design materials from solid wood flooring all the way from Italy (Triveneta Parchetti) to ceramic tiles from one of the leading manufactures in the Middle East (Arabian Ceramics).
The event will take place from 10th to 12th April at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events, co-located with "The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia 2018".
