Even though the 2013 Design Week is over,  there’s still a lot of brands to talk about, such as Stellar Works, presented on the occasion of the 2013 MOST, an exposition organized by Tom Dixon at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. This innovative ever-changing brand is aimed at discovering new materials and representing consumers from every nation, such as France, Japan, Denmark and Italy. Thanks to the cooperation of several designers from all over the world, it creates cutting edge design products. Based in Shanghai, Stellar Works furniture pieces present a strong Asiatic yet European flavor.

On the occasion of the 2013 Design Week, it has presented an interesting mix of designers whose style ranges from contemporary to vintage.  Ming Collection chairs, by Neri&Hu, expose a clear Chinese origin yet a more modern touch. OeO, in collaboration with HOSOO from Japan, has created Arlecchino collection - inspired by the typical colorful print of Harlequin character - presenting 3d effects on the textiles, created by playing with colors. Kyoto Collection by OeO, inspired by traditional Japanese wood planes and homes, is aimed at creating a sort of mystic space, whilst QT chairs by Nic Graham belong to the more eccentric and retro Sidney QT Hotel project. On the occasion of the 2013 Fuorisalone, Stellar Works has presented a contemporary yet retro design, including several re-edited classic pieces by Børge Mogensen, Vilhelm Wohlert and Mogens Andersen, as well as several Japanese handcrafted products to be sold in the International market. A cross-cultural brand combining past and future, and most importantly mixing together Chinese and North European design in a perfect genuine way.
