Elena Santi, Laura Succini and Valentina Croci: three architects working on one dream called Open Design Italia, a “fair” all about self-produced design.

The simple yet revolutionary concept of the event is to get designers and artisans in touch with no mediators, to produce right away a finished product together. Open Design Italia Factory brings visibility to designers and artisans able to entirely produce a piece to be launched onto the market. A bold idea to promote young talents by emphasizing the importance of auto-production, to also make companies and artisans cooperate.

The 2013 edition was a stage for design lovers to buy quality items as well as join cultural happenings. It also got designers to learn about b2b marketing thanks to many experts holding seminars.

Within this innovative event there was Cases of Life, offering design items suitable for the current nomad 3.0 life. Cities change, people moves fast from one place to another, and this collection adapts to this new lifestyle. Cases of Life offers modular interchangeable cases for kitchen, bathroom, office, merging design and comfort. Each piece is made of a bigger part holding smaller cases in ceramic, wood, glass and metal, each characterized by a specific purpose. In this way, interior decoration mixes with modern lifestyle by creating a custom multi-purpose complete range.

The collection was displayed on the occasion of the Fuorisalone at CNA, via Savona 52, Milan, from April 7-11.
