On the occasion of the 35th Milan’s Salone del Mobile Fair, the Friuli-based Italian firm Domitalia presented a new collection of design objects all about substance, color and design. The new project is aimed at mixing tradition and experimentation by preserving the core feature of the company’s production: an original neat design completely made in Italy. Once again, the stage of this innovative creations was Milan’s Design Week, where Domitalia presented tables, chairs and lamps sharing simple materials such as wood and metals.

Urban is one of the 2014 new entries of design objects, with coat-racks, tables, chairs and lamps having the same material in common: concrete, which is the base of each piece. Traffic collection features neat chairs with an ultra light design, made out of metal to be handy, with custom plastic colorful shells and fabric lining to be user-adjustable. Metal also recurs within the Cross table whilst wood takes over Tree table by Marcello Ziliani. A piece featuring a central trunk holding the arms that support the top which can be either made out of glass or honeycomb wood.
Wood is also the core material Gea and Diana chairs, inspired to Greek mythology whilst crystal enriches one of the variations Report, an extendable table suitable for kitchen and living room.

Minimalistic design objects now means comfort, to decorate “trend-oriented spaces”.
