When retro shapes meet a genuine talent, unique exclusive results arise. Marqué collection, designed by Alessandro Zambelli for London-based Matter of Stuff gallery, is the “living” proof of such. Composed of a range of pieces of furniture – a cocktail cabinet, a console and a coffee table - it pays homage to Paris in the 1920's and particularly to Art Deco. The main features of the collection are the combination of metals – iron, copper and brass, emphasizing the artisan quality of the pieces – and an “ebony reinterpretation” through a marquetry assembly aimed at elevating the final product quality.

Each metal undergoes different experimental oxidation processes (thanks to the collaboration with Fano's Toscari firm), to create four unpredictable exclusive shades on the surface of each piece of design furniture. The essential forms of such design items appears as a succession of oxidized metal tiles, a sequence of geometric motifs that look captivating and hypnotizing due to their own shades. Each design piece of the collection leans against four minimalist elements: three feature a non-oxidized edge, to display the purity of metal; the fourth represents a deliberate anomaly, being different from the others in terms of form. This makes each Marqué piece of furniture refined and unique, as well as bold and unmistakable.
