The first 2015 Parisian edition of Maison & Objet closed its doors on January 27th. Twice a year – at the end of January and at the beginning of September – the Fair turns the French capital into the European centre for design; in the following months, the event will also hit Singapore and Miami, reaching three continents out of five. As always, the latest edition - celebrating the 20th anniversary since the launch in 1995 - confirmed the successful mission of the Fair, whose aim is to create a dialogue between experts and professionals belonging to the lifestyle field, such as restaurant and hotel managers, and obviously architects and designers. Hosted at Paris Nord Villepinte, the event covered 8 exhibition pavilions, each dedicated to a certain interior design category such as ethnic chic, home textiles, urban furniture, kitchen flatware, for a total of over 3000 exhibitors from all over the world.

The five day event focused on the MADE theme, meaning a comeback to the past times when making things was valued, in order to understand how to merge craftsmanship with contemporary design and innovation. This theme was also shared by the main exhibition of the fair, divided into three sub-categories: “Nature Made”, “Human Made” e “Techno Made”, analyzing how nature, men and science can contribute to our everyday life. Like the past editions, conferences played an important role within the event, with about 15 daily appointments dealing with any aspect of lifestyle and addressing a wide range of professionals: from cooking to social network, from interior design to retail, nothing Maison & Objet was left to chance.
