The most important international event in design in Central and Eastern Europe is about to re-open its doors: from 3rd to 8th October, the eleventh edition of the Lodz Design Festival is ready to welcome its visitors with a program of exhibitions, conferences, discussion panels and workshops focused on the theme of contemporary design in the context of redesigning.
This year's slogan will be OD.NOWA (A.NEW). "New" seems to be the most important feature of our days.
In recent times many old truths and ways of thinking have been questioned, and for the first time in history, in highly developed societies, the new generations live in a world totally different from the one in which their parents grew up.

Changes in the world of technology, society and the environment motivate us constantly to seek new solutions. At every stage of our lives, we face new challenges: How will we live, work, how will we spend our free time? How will our cities look like and how will we move? In what world are we born, grow up and grow old? And these are just some of the questions that have been asked to the designers, curators and brands that will be present this year at the Festival.
In addition to the issues that will be addressed, you should not miss the numerous exhibitions (about 30) present throughout the event. Including the Urban Dreams exhibition organized by the Vitra Design Museum that emphasizes the need to reintroduce nature, plants, animals, water and fire into our everyday environment. The spectacular staging of the exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on the relationship between nature and the city, suggesting new directions for the development of urban space.
A Festival that wants to be, first of all, a place for creative meetings and lively discussions. An event organized not only for professionals in the design industry, but also for those who love to spend their time creatively, regardless of age or profession. And for this reason, you could not miss a family-dedicated place, the Educreation, where children can attend workshops in the field of 3D printing, building robots or even programming and coding or participating in design lessons.
Based on this information, the eleventh edition of the Lodz Design Festival is gonna be an event absolutely to mark on the agenda!
