From April 8-14 Milan became the stage of interior design on the occasion of the Design Week, the 7-day-event all about furniture, art, fashion and new trends.

Brera, Navigli, Tortona… Each district of the city hosted many exhibits, opening parties and night happenings within its galleries and stores. Among those, Krizia shop, located in Via Manin, hosted a series of light installations Ingo Maurer.

Mariuccia Mandelli, founder of the brand, decided to combine Krizia to art to create a creativity stage, in a place that has always been the venue of events and exhibitions to offer the city an occasion to confront international culture as well as interior design, music, literature and fashion.

“Il laboratorio di Ingo Maurer” (The lab of Ingo Mauer) enchanted the public with LED lights and synthetic materials combined together within the artist’s installations. The venue looked like an actual lab, featuring canvas, folding screens, and many objects to create the feel of a creative workplace. The event started on April 8th with a cocktail event for the preview of Brick, the new modular suspension lamp by the German artist. The piece presents an essential shape that suits both the living room and the kitchen, made of several anodized aluminum modules of 46 cm, as well as yellow, red and grey fluorescent parts, to paint a house the way it colored the store.
