The wait is almost over: the third edition of HOMI, the fair on lifestyles, began today in Milan - Rho Fiera and will end January 20. This will be a particular birthday as the event successfully debuted in Russia a few months ago and will also hit a new international stage in mid May when it will be held in New York City for the first time.

As always, the upcoming edition of HOMI will consist in a 360 coverage of any side of the lifestyle theme, with 10 satellites and dozens of on-topic stands to witness the best creations in the field. To that aim, TID is pleased to announce an important guest star within the most awaited event of this winter: Anacleto Spazzapan will be attending HOMI with a personal stand where professionals and design experts will be able to get close to his products, understanding Spazzapan’s unique interesting ever-changing work based on a mathematic-logic approach.

Over the years, Spazzapan has been working on an open professional path, aimed at implementing and enhancing his technique through several phases, the so-called styles, that made him experiment new forms and materials, such as reinforcing rod which is one of the main features of his work. This material also characterizes one of Spazzapan’s most crucial work and life event, the discovery of an archeological site in Giava, Indonesia, which allowed the designer to give an occupation to several local welders specifically because of the employment of the reinforcing rod.

Far from the attitude of many contemporary designers who search too much for a beautiful design object, Spazzapan’s style takes items back to their function, to the importance of being instead of appearing. Thanks to its participation in HOMI, it will be possible to see his pieces first-hand, which put men back at the core of design.
