Design as a daily experience, influenced by Amsterdam cultural heritage: this is Friday Project - a team-work aimed at offering a new point of view - presented at the 2013 Salone del Mobile Fair in Milan by Valentina Raffaelli and Luca Boscardin. An innovative design made of new colors, materials and graphics, which offers an original concept of the world by looking at pieces of furniture from a different “storytelling” point of view.
Food Storage pantry, presented during the Design Week, is inspired by food pyramid, combining design with an inner meaning, and redefining spaces and shapes.  Food Storage is meant to be an educational product where to place food based on its dietary value. Each section preserves different types of food in the best possible way, like our grandmothers used to do: wood drawers to store bread and cereals, terracotta cases for vegetables, ad-hoc shelves for eggs, mixed herbs vases and special spices cans whose lids remain attached to the pantry in order to avoid any messy waste. A decorative piece of furniture offering perfect food storing and diet tips.

At the 2013 Salone Satellite the duo has also presented Flamingo, a steel-stem lamp, painted in orange and featuring essential spontaneous lines. An elegant simple piece of design reflecting light in a dramatic way thanks to the employment of laser cutting on the top. Pastel colors, light hues, essential graphics and lines: these are the main features of Friday Project varied design,  mixing refined appearance and inner meanings to create attractive yet educational products.
