Each client has specific needs and families make no exception, as proved by this project located 30 minutes away from Tel-Aviv. The renovation of this 170 square meter house needed to meet the demands of a couple with three kids, willing to make the children grow up in an open free environment, away from the chaos of the city.
Openness and lightness are actually the core theme of the project by Dalit Lilienthal, which involved a complete renovation of the space, with the repositioning of both the entrance and the kitchen and most of all the demolition of many walls as well as the original corridor, with the aim of creating an open area where space division’s only purpose is to separate the master bedroom from the lounge zone. Natural illumination plays a bold role in the living space thanks to the creation of new windows and openings to bring the sunlight inside as well as offer a pleasant view on the outside, which appears strongly connected to the interior to further implement the sense of openness.

The interior design depicts the will of the owners to find the right balance between rural and urban life: the decoration in fact mixes rustic and modern and even industrial elements all together, as well as many different materials such as steel, iron and obviously wood. Subtle hues paint the second floor, dedicated to the couple’s kids: bedrooms, bathroom and playroom area also feature a brighter flooring instead of the dark one from the ground floor, to stress the sense of lightness even upstairs.
