Innovation and multifunctionality: this is Clei, whose creations employ modern technology to design versatile green interiors, as proven by Ecooking and Elastic Living, both presented on the occasion of the 2013 Salone del Mobile Fair.
These prototypes represent an ultra-modern innovative solution for those living in a little space. Ecooking, by architect Massimo Facchinetti, is a vertical cooking facilty completely ecological, aimed at saving energy. It is a space-saver rollaway kitchen employing solar panels to charge the electrical appliances which exchange heat and humidity reciprocally. To save even more energy, the water from the sink can be totally filtered and recycled, to be used by the dishwasher and to irrigate the tiny vegetable garden also featured in this project.
Clei: eco-friendly innovation
Home vegetable gardens and convertible living spaces: Clei employs technology to allow money and energy saving.
Elastic Living, by architect Angelo Roventa, offers a convertible interior. Thanks to the employment of sliding panels, it allows one room to turn into six different living spaces, including even a gym. Each element - such as the bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom with shower, studio, wardrobe and a tapis-roulant – is hidden behind the panels which slide horizontally. And out-and-out apartment based on technology and progress, which are the distinguishing features of Clei, as well as versatility and multifunctionality.
