Located in one of Buenos Aires' most exclusive districts, Casa Cavia is the new Argentinian cultural destination. Created by founder and creative director Guadalupe Garcia Mosqueda, Casa Cavia is an elegant 1927 building hosting a restaurant, a publishing house, a book store, a perfumery and a flower shop, with the aim of offering its visitors the very best of Buenos Aires in terms of both product and prodigy, as the house will also be a centre for emerging talents.

The two storey Twenties building originally designed by eclectic Alejandro Cristophersen represented an interesting challenge for Kallosturin studio which dealt with its renovation. The aim was to turn this unique palace into a modern cultural centre without losing original proportions and characteristic elements. To that end the studio opted for an interior design that employs modern retro pieces of furniture from the Twenties and the Thirties, all sharing a white and green palette.

Visitors will not only lose themselves between antique mirrors, marble flooring, leather details and the unbelievably peaceful and beautiful inner courtyard, they will also be welcomed by actual hosts, local talents selected by the creative director in order to offer a context of excellence that goes beyond the quality of Casa Cavia's products, creating an actual multi-disciplinary dialogue that starts from human contact, enhanced by the warmness of the main salon. With its retro taste recreated by the perfect renovation, Casa Cavia is now the flagship of Palermo Chico, one of Buenos Aires' most elegant residential districts, which hosts many important embassies as well as crucial buildings in terms of architecture such as the Museum of Architecture and Design.
