The creations of this designer livened up Milan’s Salone Satellite on the occasion of the 2012 Milan Design Week, and this dining chair, called BAI, in particular – which is still in development process - embodies his style. Ander Lizaso, born in 1986 in the Basque Country, focuses on the creation of products combining classic and contemporary features all together.

BAI chair is the perfect example of Lizaso’s approach: inspired to the mid-century Scandinavian design, with a particular look at Eero Saarinen’s work, this product features a wood structure with crossed legs pleasantly contrasting the curved line of the seat. Moreover, the upper ends of the wooden parts also form the armrests of the chair.

Thanks to the presence of both concave and convex lines, the chair BAI also represents a geometric play aimed at creating a comfy anatomical chair: the seat, made out of glass fiber and available in several colors, gently gathers the human body. BAI is part of a larger chair-range characterized by essential lines and materials, which will soon host metal parts as well.
