The most cosmopolitan design week in the world is being enriched with new contents that will broaden its view on international trends: for the first time Milan will host Asia Design Pavilion (ADP), the exhibition and communication platform, under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, designed to enhance and present the multiform Asian creative scene in a unitary way and to strengthen the dialogue between East and West.
China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Iran and Qatar are the countries that will be represented by designers, studios and design organizations who have chosen Fuorisalone to present themselves on a global stage.
Created in partnership by Sarpi Bridge_Oriental Design Week, Milan Space Makers and I_des italyshenzen.com, Asia Design Pavilion will invade the large exhibition hangar of Megawatt Court (via Watt 15, Milan) which will become, for a week, an extended multicultural and multidisciplinary hub for breathe the innovative mood, perceive the new trends and touch the design that can be seen in this cross-section, lively and original, of the oriental world.

The exhibition platform will be V.I.P. of the next design week, where the acronym is for "very important project": less emphasis on famous names but only important projects.
Numerous exhibitions will animate ADP: it will range from design to contemporary art, from fashion to food through installations of emerging Asian artists, an area dedicated to the comparison between young creative people and potential producers and a path of intercultural events dedicated to heritage gastronomy of each participating country.
Within the pavilion, Radio We will broadcast the program Orient Express live, while Puzzle Art will set up the exhibition pavilion with large banners that will allow to admire Chinese and Korean artists. The outdoor area will instead be a fascinating Japanese garden thanks to Crespi Bonsai for a moment of outdoor break. All this to reinforce the bridges connecting Asian and European culture.
Finally, in the Sarpi district, where the first "bridge" between East and West was born, the Torre Liprando space will showcase Zhang Hongmei thus creating an artistic and collaborative link with ADP.
And if all this is not enough, it will be possible to reach the location through a suggestive boat trip sailing the Naviglio Grande.
