A huge bright space in the heart of Milan, formerly made of three apartments: this is the stunning renovation of an art collector’s house by Andrea Castignano. The aim was to design a space where to combine artworks and design furniture (the real protagonists of the property) by also creating a living area for the owner’s daughter to play in.
The apartment was turned into a big bright space basically hallway-less, facing the outside panoramic terrace. The living area is divided into three different sections enlightened by five windows, all sharing all-white walls and white brushed laid down parquet flooring. Chat, dining and relax areas feature a minimalistic decoration aimed at enhancing the artworks such as John F. Kennedy portrait by Sergio Lombardi as well as several design pieces. The bedroom area features two rooms, a walk-in closet, a chromotherapy bathroom and a Turkish bath.

Art-centered space
Tulip chairs by Eero Saarinen, LC4 chaise longue by Cassina, Eames Lounge Chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra… are just a few examples of the stylish details decorating this space caught between art and design, in a white dimension enriched by dark contrasts such as dark wood and grey flooring.
