Marseille, France: after three restorations, a family-villa overlooking the sea for comfort and design lovers has finally taken shape. During the Nineties a family accepted to refurbish the first floor of their villa by turning around the interior with a new unexpected space-partition focused on lighting and made of wood trusses, including the former exterior staircase. A few years later the renovation affected the ground and second floor too. Kitchen, living room and dining room were moved to the lower floor by keeping the revolutionary arrangement of the first renovation.

Finally, the last renovation was aimed at creating a private space for each member of the family: the interior was turned into an all-white space through wood-whitening and honing featuring natural-colored details as well as design pieces and mezzanines. Diesel Foscarini lamps, “La Leggera” by Ricardo Blummer for Alias, Zettel'z decor chandelier by Ingo Maurer: the interior is full of iconic pieces as well as unconventional variations such as Twiggy lamp by Marc Sadler which is the light flexible variation of well known Arco lamp by Achille Castiglioni. The living room features a sofa by Greg Zanotta and basic dark RAR rocking chairs by Eames for Vitra. A multiple villa renovated under Maurice Padovani’s supervision, waiting the next change.
