The curtains of the 2017 edition of Stockholm Design Week closed last week, after a 7-day festival that once again celebrated the refinement and unique taste of Scandinavian design. Held from February 6 to 12, the event turned the capital of Sweden into a vibrant design-centered cultural environment. Many museums, galleries, studios and national institution participated in the festival, whose first edition dates back to 2002.

Over the years, Stockholm Design Week has become an ever-growing stage where professionals can create new commercial relationships and design lovers enjoy the best items. As always, the festival firstly focused on its leading event, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, held for the first time in 1951. The fair attracted about 40,000 visitors among architects, designers, retailers and design lovers, exhibiting the best design creations from Scandinavia as well as from 57 other countries in the world. With its 2017 edition, Stockholm proved to be the place to be for both professional and social purposes, thanks to the many captivating events, vernissages and parties held all over the city in the night.
