Sometimes they come back: the design makeover of the traditional Apulian stool

You never forget the first Poggio, as well as the second, the third and so on. The more, the better. Thanks to designer Mario D’Aquino from Gallipoli, these stools are still available to bring to any interior a unique Apulian touch that specifically comes from the beautiful area called Salento.
«The poggio is a stool where children used to sit to listen to their grandparents' tales», says D’Aquino. A simple, “poor” seat that has been often given for granted. Yet, a intimate, comfy seat that stands for home, making families spend time together, seating side by side.

To give a new appealing face to the old poggio, the designer kept the trapezoid form, adding quality wood like black walnut and maple, with a draped design that recalls traditional linen tablecloths. A new look and design, the same name and core: that's how the Poggio comes back home.
