The sixth edition of the San Francisco Design Week is ready to start off. The unique 9-day-festival will turn the Bay Area into the core of creativity by investigating any side of design and much more, from wearable tech to fashion and architecture. An international event, ready to fulfill the public’s expectations with the very best in terms of innovation and a huge program which will be involving not only the city but the whole area from San Francisco to Silicon Valley, affecting 8 cities with over 75 happenings hosted by the most famous designers, entrepreneurs and innovators of our times.

In this way the festival will prove once again to be the largest design week of the world. The main initiative will be Studio Tours in the Bay Area, which will see design studios, agencies and typography firms open their doors to the public, presenting their most ground-breaking projects. Attendees will experience projects in progress and learn about the firms’ cultures and methodologies. The speaker series will also be a great feature of the festival, with seminars and talks held around the Bay Area to deepen many crucial and contemporary topics related to design, such as new technologies. Before even starting, several events of the San Francisco Design Week went sold out, proving the importance of the festival. Among these events, 5 Things You Need to Know About Designing for Web by writer, illustrator and graphic designer Brian Wood, held at the headquarter of Adobe; and Designing for Apple Watch, by Tigerspike studio, where to get insights from our work designing for the most famous contemporary watch.
