Starts today the 2015 Saint Petersburg Design Week, livening up the city for 8 days in a row with exclusive happenings and renowned special guests who will astonish the public with their skills and experience. The event will be not just about design but also architecture, art, fashion and so on, engaging the most crucial topics of the current scenario such as marketing and sustainability. The peak happening will be the fourth edition of Design Week Expo, hosted in the main location, the Manege of Cadet Corps: visitors will be witnessing the best of contemporary design by international professionals and also by young emerging talents. The aim of Design Week Expo is not only exhibiting quality but also promoting international cooperation to create long lasting commercial partnerships.

The happening will also be the stage for new designers to provide a solid starting point to their careers. The exhibition will be featuring about 60 brands, both Russian and international, with a strong Finnish presence – Finnish design will be also one of the topic of the many master class of the 2015 program. This year’s edition will offer visitors the chance to both have a close look at the most cutting edge design and actually learn the focal points of such an ever-changing subject. The event will involve many areas of the city: happenings, seminars, meetings and much more will take place at the State University as well as design galleries, museums, hotels and cultural centers. Among the big names featured in this year’s edition, Marcus Appenzeller, Claudio Balestri, Massimo Roj, Isa Stein, proving the strong international feel of the Saint Petersburg Design week which is already one of the main design events of Europe.
