Egg, Shadow and City: three names for a unique lamp collection inspired by the history of mankind, in a design stylish journey that links the origins to the current era. The first leg is Egg, a luminescent interpretation of the very first form of life that is the egg; the second is Shadow, the representation of the arise of the human being; the last is City, the light that embodies modernity.
These three-piece symbolic path marks the debut of Man@mydoor in the lighting field. The fresh design brand is a women-only adventure: co-partners Manuela Cimmino and Maria Vittoria Magno put into Man@mydoor their own different worlds. Communication and creativity on the one hand, design and engineering on the other.

This unexpected mixture led to the creation of Art Lamps by Man@mydoor, which were showcased on June 17th on the occasion of the launch of TID showroom, located at via Medardo Rosso 18 in Milan. The brand new space hosted the entire lamp trilogy, made out of different metal combinations and also available in many sizes.
Egg takes you back to when life begins, with a shape research aimed at recalling the embryo, which is lighted up by a strong yet undistinguishable source of light. Just like the source of human life. Shadow represents the dialogue between man and light. The base supports a light thin silhouette from which a both delicate and intense light springs out.
City reaches out to modernity, with bold blended colors. Traffic, life, development and energy are merged together into a chaotic colorful light play that represents the current era’s complexity in a lively, joyful way.
