How would you describe your style?
Contemporary architecture.

What made you want to become an architect?

Interest in art and culture.

What's your favorite material and why?

Bricks. This material has different colors, forms and possibilities. It is natural and perfect for a wet climate.

Among your projects, what is your favorite and why?
I have a truth about all our projects. But if i have to choose i pick Nicolai, Timmermans-Venderinck and Veeckman-Gelis. Because of the light, circulation routes, sight lines, and the fascinating interaction with the clients.

Which are your professional goals for the future?
To continue making fascinating architecture.

What's the key feature of an interior design project?

Honest materials and perception.

Is there a country that you consider a leader in terms of architecture? Why?
Belgium is a major player, but classical architecture inspires me most as Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, Aalto, Mies van der Rohe. Moreover, let’s not forget Zumthor or the Japanese architecture.

hat will be the major change that the design field will experience in the next 10 years?
Building energy-efficient homes: this is going to affect our way of designing.

Who are the current most futurist designers in your opinion?

Peter Zumthor.
