Elegance and sophistication merge in a sinuous form that begets an unexpected refined table lamp: it’s called Cloche, by Lars Beller Fjetland, a young Norwegian designer whose work mainly focuses on the link amid form and function. Designed exclusively for Wrong for Hay, Cloche is a design piece that represents the perfect connection between beauty, balance and matter weight: the result is a unexpectedly poetic lamp with a feminine light shape, an actual exploration of the improbable.

Based on its proportions – especially the unusual size of its components – it feels almost impossible that this design lamp does not fall forward; the trick is that Cloche is the actual embodiment of balance, since each of its parts balances the others in terms of size, shape and material, gaining from each other and lending its strengths to the others to create a beautifully balanced whole. The result is a form continuum that pays homage to bluebell flowers: the lamp is firmly grounded by its cast iron roots, while gently leaning its large and seductive spun copper petals over any object or surface; all made possible by the flexibility of its lightweight aluminum stem. Available in four different finishes, Cloche design lamp emphasizes how quality and elegance belong to any material; at the same time, reminds us that a design piece must always look beautiful.
