Paris based 10surdix studio has been founded by Mathieu Steinmetz, Guillaume Koenig andcreative director Marion Steinmetz, whose search for innovative materials ended up in an elegant yet functional new furniture collection. Table basse Fréquences and Table Basse Anello are two examples of her work: created in 2013, they share a strong geometrical essential look. The first one is made up of a steel plate linking two ultralight american walnut blocks whose combination forms the table’s shelves.

The second one, created in collaboration with TRISS, has been designed to be a light assemblable piece of furniture featuring a different-size layout made of laminated steel, ceramic and wood cases that can be arranged in different way to create a minimalistic geometrical look. Marion Steinmetz’s work goes beyond design: she is also into interior design, as proved by  Maison 1 project from 2012, when she collaborated with a French architect to add to an empty apartment a good-mood-themed decor. The designer used floral furniture and warm hues combined to modern pieces and brown and white walls. The sofa chosen was Fly by Bosal, which was put in the center of the living room facing a maxi floral pouf located beside the ultra modern aluminum Eden Deco fireplace and TRISS  vases.
