Antonio Franchi is an artist from Siena who is characterized by a style of continuous experimentation, in which the traditional means in his possession perfectly integrate with new and innovative sources, expanding his field of action and allowing his creativity and excitement to manifest itself higher levels with high quality results.
Hence his "aerial synthesis" collection, where abstract expressionism is manifested through bright color lights and paintings supported by a geometric definition idea.
The vivid colors of his palette meet with the places to which the artist is most closely linked and the color is at the center of every work that obliges the observer to identify with his own experiences and memories to rediscover a part of himself that was remained hidden, concealed.

A painting able to create a constructive and progressive dialogue, free from any dogmatic technique, between color and place. Each work remains detached from rigid formal impositions, even in the presence of certain geometric references; the existence of the subject (the place) is only perceived, whereas color constitutes the means for evoking the place, constituting at the same time the essence of the artwork.
The color, pasty, fluent and invasive with its luminary effects, takes the place of things and evokes that particular place recalled in the title of the work. A painting that joins poetry, in a play of lights and nuances able to associate, in an interrelated relationship, the fantastic to the real; it shows the emotion, frames what is left in memory or what is lived onirically, captures the real at the time of its disappearance, taking on a return image, or fixing the fantastic in its becoming.
This exciting game of shades, lights and shadows is made possible by overlapping layers of fresh color on each other by using spatulas of any size that give the canvas a particular weight giving great emphasis on the color itself.
