Andaz Maui is a dreamlike place, listed among the world’s most beautiful hotels in the 2014 top list by Condé Nast Traveller. Designed by much renowned Rockwell Group, the facility became a resort in September 2013. From that moment on, Hawaii’s Maui isle has had an additional reason to be visited.

The resort is located on the southern shore of the isle, surrounded by nature, just a few step from sand and sea. A postcard-like scenario, it is an actual mix of luxury and design scattered along as much as 15 acres, yet with much attention paid to any detail. The facility features 290 units among rooms and suites, 7 villas, 3 pools, 2 restaurant, a huge SPA and countless lounges that serve as congress, event and reception locations.

Andaz Maui looks more like a kingdom than a resort, enhanced by the magnificent suggestions created by the crystal clear sea that faces the hotel. Only a soft, immaculate sand stripe separates the property from the water, reaching out to the inner part of the hotel as the lobby flooring is made out of sand instead of an actual floor, greeting the clients in the most natural relaxed way.

The whole design is characterized by a continuum between inside and outside, thanks to the wide glass windows that run along the whole property, framing breathtaking views. Ceilings, made out of natural materials, also offer a few glances of the sky. Wood takes over the whole place by being the main material for floors, staircase, passages and boardwalks, as well as chairs, armchairs and sofas. Natural materials keep occurring in the lava stone finishings and the bamboo, oak, teak and walnut furniture. Design pieces of furniture also play a strong role, with design lamps, geometrical forms and essential neat lines with bright subtle hues. Paintings, adornments, lanterns, tapestries and other elements reinterpret Hawaii’s traditional style and culture adding a modern yet local touch.
