The curtains on the 2017 edition of the much anticipated Maison&Objet closed in Paris on January 24th. The event marked a turning point in the history of the French fair, as this year it featured a triple - not just double - focus: beyond the decoration and retail fields, it also addressed new trends, creativity and innovation (especially in terms of luxury lifestyle)
through its new I nfluences section.
Thanks to such diversification, Maison&Objet managed to engage an even wider international public through a very rich program that included as many as 70 seminars, 30 on-topic events and a wide range of specific services such as retail consultancy or the introduction to the most innovative materials.

The event also focused on specific topics related to design and arising trends, investigating how to make design feature the same healing and balancing properties of silence by becoming - for instance - more abstract and less packed. Many different approaches - from an art installation to a conference - helped deepening the issue, confirming the comprehensive attitude of Maison&Objet.
Hosted at Paris Nord Villepinte, the 2017 edition proved to be, as always, a huge success. Design will be again in the spotlight of the French capital in September, on the occasion of the next design week, scheduled from the 8th to the 16th.
