Interior design and communication: that’s the interesting mix Valencia-based Masquespacio studio deals with. Valencia is also the setting of its latest project, the interior design of Spanish school 2Day Languages. As its logo proves, the school cherishes the concept of mixing and fusion that is peculiar to Valencia and well represented by the city’s architecture, where old and new meet. The 183 square meter space features three classrooms, a staff room and a lounge area: each room reflects the identity of the school, especially Spanish language and Valencia’s architecture. The whole space features one color palette made of three hues, blue, yellow and pink, representing the three different levels of language-learning.

Each classroom features one of these colors fading into white, to represent the idea of the ever-going learning process of students. On the ceiling, sculptural lamps overlook the space, creating a unique yet simple and fresh atmosphere that puts people and most of all teaching in the spotlight. A well balanced interior design that successfully mixes modern and neoclassic elements, creating a warm atmosphere for students thanks to the employment of pine wood, as well as comfy chairs and separable tables that make didactic activities more intuitive. The lounge area is where the interior design gets more lively, with all the colors mixing together just like the students that meet up in this space. Here, decorating elements take over, enhancing the core of 2Day Languages school: communication, Spanish language, Valencia architecture.
